Inventário do medo: uma viagem de retorno às celas da ditadura militar brasileira

Kátia da Costa Bezerra

This study explores how Lara de Lemos’ poetry reflects and re-constructs the experience of dictatorship in Brazil. In Inventário do medo, Lemos goes beyond simple recollection as her poems attempt to build a sense of community through an association with other geographies and times. Moreover, these poems try to negotiate a perspective that interferes with the politics of silence that permeates Brazilian society, obliging a re-articulation of the narratives of the nation.
